Air Canada Resumes Nonstop Service Between Vancouver and Bangkok Amid Soaring Demand

Vancouver, Canada – May 29, 2025

Air Canada has officially announced the return of its nonstop service between Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK), starting October 27, 2024. The move comes as part of the airline’s expansion strategy to meet growing demand for travel between Canada and Southeast Asia.


The route will initially operate three times per week, increasing to five weekly flights during the peak travel season from December 2024 to March 2025.


Flight Details:

• Flight AC65: Departs Vancouver at 23:00 → Arrives in Bangkok at 05:55 (+2 days)

• Flight AC66: Departs Bangkok at 08:30 → Arrives in Vancouver at 06:35


Air Canada will deploy the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on this route, featuring:

• 30 Air Canada Signature Class seats

• 21 Premium Economy seats

• 247 Economy Class seats


This route, one of the few direct connections between North America and Thailand, is expected to be especially beneficial for leisure travelers, business passengers, and international students traveling between the two countries.


The return of this direct route marks a significant milestone in the recovery of long-haul travel and reflects Air Canada’s continued investment in strategic international markets.
